Dive into the diversity of styles offered by modern cider and perry, nicknamed 'wines of the orchard' and made from 100% freshly pressed juice.

Event details

The UK drinks more cider than any other country, but most of it is made from barely 35% juice. However, there is a quiet revolution going on with whole juice makers, and this session will get you up to speed on the most important and delicious styles.

In this tasting, drinks educator and certified Pomellier Alison Taffs will guide you to explore the depth and breadth of styles and flavours from apples as well as the extraordinarily rare and tasty perry from perry pears.

The ciders will be tasted along a cheese and snacks selection - and Alison will discuss the possibility that fine cider and perry is the ultimate lunch companion.

This tasting is ideal for anyone curious to learn more about the possibilities of cider.
